Purtroppo causa maltempo e vita cittadina non sono riuscita a indossare questi fantastici abitini fino alle mie ferie.

In Egitto fa davvero caldissimo in questo periodo, e anche alla sera più leggero e fresco è l'abito, meglio è!

WINE LAND

Torno a postare dopo qualche mese un po' burrascoso, in cui ho deciso di tralasciare un pochino il blog, per dare spazio ad altre cose. Spero ora di riuscire ad esserci con regolarità, magari un paio di volte alla settimana. Da fine mese inizierò uno stage in una importante azienda di moda. Per cui spero anche di riuscire a mostrarvi qualcosa legato al mio nuovo lavoro. Ma per ora...shhhhhh

I'll be back to post after a few months a bit 'rough, I decided to leave a little my blog and those i follow to have free time for other things. I hope now able to be there regularly, maybe once or twice a week. At the end of the month I will begin an internship at a major fashion company. So I hope to be able to show something related to my new job. But for now ... shhhhhh

Come ho già raccontato in alcuni post vivo in un posto bellissimo... una zona in cui si producono vino, olio e famoso per gli splendidi paesaggi. Ogni tanto mi piace godermi la natura che mi circonda. Nei giorni scorsi, visto che il mio ragazzo era in ferie, siamo andati un po' in giro, così, per il gusto di stare all'aria aperta!

As I told you in some posts I live in a beautiful place ... an area which produces wine, olive oil and famous for beautiful landscapes. Sometimes I like to enjoy the nature that surrounds me. In recent days, since my boyfriend was on vacation, we went a bit 'around, just for the fun of being outdoors!

Questo cappello ha un valore affettivo molto grande per me: era di mio zio, lo avevamo comprato insieme l'estate prima che morisse, e ricordo quella giornata di sole come se fosse oggi. Fu bellissimo, e bevemmo un caffè seduti a Verona in Piazza Erbe. E' stata la sola cosa che gli appartaneva che ho chiesto di poter avere, perchè un po' apparteneva anche a me.

This panama-hat has a very great sentimental value for me:it was of my uncle, we bought it together the summer before he died, and I remember that sunny day like today. It was a beautiful day together, and at the end we drank a cup of coffee sitting in Piazza Erbe in Verona. It was his only thing that  I asked to have, because it belonged always to me, in a certain way.

SKIRTS I LOVE YOU

Io adoro le gonne: le trovo femminili, delicate e al tempo stesso sexy!

Ultimamente ci si può sbizzarrire: corte, longuette o lunghe, aderenti come una pencil o ampie in stile retrò. Ovviamente ognuna di noi sceglie il modello in base al fisico, all'attitudine ed ai propri gusti.  

I love skirts: I find feminine, delicate, yet sexy!

Lately you can indulge: short, long or longuette, slim as a pencil or large retro style. Obviously each of us choose the model based on the physical, attitude and own tastes.

Io ho sempre preferito quelle medio corte, considerando le mie gambe abbastanza slanciate rispetto al resto del corpo. Però, al momento di acquistare questa, ho avuto qualche dubbio. Una gonna così ampia, infatti, rischia di rendermi goffa, se non adeguatamente bilanciata nelle proporzioni.

I always preferred short averages, considering my legs quite slender compared to the rest of the body. However, when buying this, I had some doubts. A skirt so wide, in fact, could make it awkward, if not properly balanced whit top proportions and high heels.

Sicuramente questo tipo di taglio costruito è adatto a un evento serale e un pochino più modano. Di giorno, invece, meglio linee più pulite, più o meno formali a seconda delle occasioni d'uso.

E voi cosa preferite?

Surely this type of cut made is suitable for an evening event. By day, however, better cleaner lines, more or less formal depending on the way of use.

And what do you prefer?

Per completare il mio outfit, ho scelto il tocco rock degli accessori. Orecchini handmade da due amiche esperte in bijoux e bracciali vintage, ereditati dalla nonna materna, che li aveva ricevuti in dono da mio nonno, al ritorno dalla Spagna.

To complete my outfit, I chose a touch of rock accessories. Earrings handmade by two friends experienced in jewelry, and vintage bracelets, inherited from my maternal grandmother, who had received as a gift from my grandfather, on his return from Spain's war.

LA SFILATA DI CAMILLA MAINENTE

Il 30 maggio ho avuto il piacere di assistere alla sfilata di Camilla Mainente, laureanda in Fashion Design allo Ied, presso il castello di Bevilacqua, Vr.

30 May I had the pleasure to attend the Mainente Camilla fashion show at the castle of Bevilacqua, Vr. She is a graduate student in Fashion Design at IED.

Devo dire che la location era davvero incantevole. Pur vivendo in provincia di Verona non ne avevo mai sentito parlare, eppure sin dal mio arrivo, ho avvertito una atmosfera magica.

I must say the location was really charming. While living in Verona I'd never heard of this place, but since my arrival, I feel a magical atmosphere.

La sfilata è stata molto coinvolgente, con due momenti di atmosfera, in cui 3 bravissimi ballerini si sono cimentati in coreografie contemporanee. In passerella si sono alternati pezzi di concetto a pezzi molto mettibili, in linea con i trend del prossimo A.I.

Rispetto alla collezione ho posto alcune domande a Camilla, e vi riporto quindi per intero l'intervista.

The show was very entertaining, with two moments of atmosphere, where three talented dancers have performed a contemporary choreography. Took turns on the catwalk pieces of concept  and pieces to wear in line with the trends of the next AI.

I asked Camilla some questions about her collection.

Quali sono il concept e il mood della tua collezione?

Il concept della mia collezione e' ispirato a Grace Jones. Come avrai notato gli abiti sono molto forti. Ho cercato infatti di creare una collezione per una donna sicura di se, determinata, ed androgina. Una donna che vuole somigliare a Grace Jones, che vuole avere la stessa determinazione.

Per questo ci sono tessuti vinilici che separano completamente la donna dal mondo esterno e tessuti trasparenti che, in modo quasi ossimorico, vogliono restituire alla donna la sua femminilita' e sensualita', perchè la donna, per quanto oggi si collochi sempre più in ruoli tradizionalente maschili, resta pur sempre donna.

What are the concept and mood of your collection?
The concept of my collection is inspired by Grace Jones. As you've noticed the clothes are very strong. In fact I tried to create a collection for a selfconfident, determined, and androgynous woman. A woman who wants to look like Grace Jones, who wants to have the same determination.For this we are woven vinyl completely separating the women from the outside world and transparent fabrics, almost oxymoronic, want to return the woman her femininity 'and sensuality', because the woman, as now expected to lie increasingly in masculine roles, always remains a woman.

Come hai realizzato gli abiti?

Gli abiti sono realizzati tutti di mia mano e col mio "olio di gomito". Tanta fatica ma anche tanta tanta determinazione.

How do you made the clothes?

The clothes are all made by my hand and with my "elbow grease". Hard work but also lots and lots of determination.

Ho notato che vi erano modelle molto diverse tra loro: sono state scelte di proposito di altezza e corporatura differente (vista anche l'attuale polemica sull'anoressia nella moda)?

Le modelle sono state scelte appositamente. Ho bandito assolutamente le taglie piccole perche' troppo magre per rappresentare la mia idea di donna. La mia donna deve avere "muscolo" paradossalmente, e spalle forti, appunto perche' su di lei pendono decisioni e problemi che sicuramente sa e può risolvere.
I noticed that there were very different models: are choices about different height and size (also view the current controversy anorexia in fashion)?
The models were chosen on purpose. I banished the very small sizes because 'too thin to represent my idea of a woman. My woman must have "muscle", and strong shoulders, precisely because 'hanging over her decisions and issues that certainly knows and can solve.

Per la realizzazione dei capi, quindi, il fitting è stato adattato al corpo di ogni singola modella o sono abiti che si prestano ad essere taglia unica?

Alcuni abiti si prestano ad essere taglia unica, anzi parecchi. Altri sono necessariamente su misura.
For the realization of their leaders, therefore, the fitting is adapted to the body of each model or clothes are one size?

OSome clothes are one size, or rather several. Others are necessarily tailor made.

Quali sono i tuoi obiettivi ora?

Ora il mio obiettivo e' trovare un lavoro che mi gratifichi e che mi crei indipendenza economica. Un buon posto in un'azienda importante, perchè la gavetta è d'obbligo.

Per il momento comunque sono in programma altre sfilate con la stessa collezione a breve a Milano presso l'Old Fashion Cafe.

What are your goals now?

Now my goal and 'find a job that gratifies me and that I create economic independence. A good position in a major, because the tin is a must.
For the moment anyway, other catwalks are scheduled with the same collection in Milan at Old Fashion Cafe.

Io vista l'occasione ho deciso di vest indossare finalmente i miei jeans DIY. Ovviamente in un total black, e con la mia ormai inseparabile borsa in vernice rossa.
For this event i decided to wear my DIY jeans. Obviously in a total black look, and with my beloved red vernis bag.

DIY JEANS

Questa primavera tutte, e dico proprio tutte le migliori bloggers, si sono dedicate al DIY ispirato alla collezione di MiuMiu, tutta rondinelle e margheritine. E devo dire che alla fine ha conquistato anche me. Io, però, da quando ho visto questi jeans in vetrina, mi sono innamorata. Quando ho visto il prezzo, però, l'amore è venuto un pochino meno... circa 500 euro! Infatti fanno parte della collezione P-E di Dolce e Gabbana. Si tratta quindi della "prima linea", quella con un target più alto. Quindi credo che li vedremo poco in giro.

This spring all, and just say all the best bloggers, dedicated a space to DIY inspired on MiuMiu collection, all swallows and daisies. And I must say that finally won me. But when I saw these pair of jeans in the window, I fell in love. When I saw the price, however, love came a little less ... approximately 500 euros! they were  Dolce and Gabbana SS collection . It is therefore the "first line" of the brand, with a higher target. So I think we'll not see it around so often.

Io, però, ho deciso di elaborarne una mia versione. Armata di un paio di jeans super economici, dal lavaggio scuro (li trovo un po' più soft rispetto alla versione chiara, molto a contrasto), colore da stoffa e pennello, ho creato il mio personalissimo paio di jeans maculati.

I've decided to draw my own version. Armed with a super cheap pair of jeans, dark blue washed (I find them a bit 'softer than the light version, too much contrasted), jeans color and brush, I created my very own pair of jeans.

Nel week end penso proprio di indossarli!  Domani sera parteciperò a una sfilata... a cui dedicherò un lungo post... quindi ragazze... see you soon!

SUI NAVIGLI

A causa dell'esplosione del vulcano, il week end del 17 è saltato il mio viaggio a Roma. Ne ho approfittato per fare un giro per il Fuorisalone. Non ho postato foto un po' di proposito, perchè ne ho fatte un po' qui e là, e sono così tante che non so nemmeno quali scegliere! Preferisco postarvi queste poche, fatte sui navigli, che mostrano piccoli angoli di Milano, che nemmeno io mi aspettavo di incontrare. Le ho scattate in due giornate diverse,sempre con il brutto tempo. Quelle dei miei outfit le ho fatte col mio ragazzo, che ha fatto un po' il turista con me!

Due to the explosion of the volcano, the weekend of 17 I didn't take my fly to Rome. It was delete. I took the time for a ride at Fuorisalone. I've not posted some photos 'on purpose, because I made a lot here and there, and so many that I do not know which to choose! I prefer posting this little, take on the Navigli zone, that show little corners of Milan, which even I expected to encounter. I've taken it on two different days, always in bad weather. I made some tourism with my boyfriend, who took those pictures of me.

Da sempre ho pensato che una ragazza, per risultare affascinante e sexy, non deve rientrare in una determinata taglia, ma deve avere carattere e sapersi valorizzare. Insomma gli abiti non possono solo essere indossati, ma devono anche essere interpretati.
In questi giorni mi sono dilettata a cercare immagini della stupenda Crystal Renn. Ha un viso meraviglioso, espressivo e sensuale.

I have always thought that a girl, in order to be charming and sexy, does not fall into a certain size, but must have character and know how to exploit. So clothes can not only be worn, but should be interpreted.

These days I 've lot of funny to find pictures of the beautiful Crystal Renn. Her face is beautiful, expressive and sensual.

Il punto: la sfilata di Mark Fast. Secondo me con questo abito, e con l'intimo sottostante, il suo fisico non è per nulla valorizzato. Anzi, direi che oltre ad essere troppo fasciata, il colore svilisce il suo bel viso.

E di questo rosso che dire? Il colore è meraviglioso, ma la vita segnata in questo modo è quanto di più antiestetico ci possa essere.

And what about this red dress? The color is wonderful, but waist marked in this way is as ugly can be.

Che ne pensate? Io trovo giusto portare in passerella ragazze di tutte le taglie, ma solo se vengono valorizzate.
